AERMOR is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator III who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrading of hardware and software components. This includes supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) RDT&E network, government servers connected to NMCI/NGEN, and other systems to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The role requires advanced expertise in server and network administration, security compliance, and system performance monitoring, as well as leadership within the network operations team.

AERMOR is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator III who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrading of hardware and software components. This includes supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) RDT&E network, government servers connected to NMCI/NGEN, and other systems to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The role requires advanced expertise in server and network administration, security compliance, and system performance monitoring, as well as leadership within the network operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain workstations, servers, and network components.
- Support virtualization infrastructure including VMware, Windows, Linux, and Cisco systems.
- Perform application additions, relocations, and removals as needed.
- Administer server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, backups, and messaging.
- Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and maintain baseline system security in accordance with organizational policies.
- Perform systems monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure network sustainability and security.
- Ensure compliance with DoD IT requirements, including STIGs and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
- Work with government personnel to maintain system security and adherence to industry standards.
- Implement and analyze security policies for Navy RMF and NAVSEA networks.
- Provide technical consultation on network, applications, and customer service issues.
- Troubleshoot, install computers, and connect software or hardware to the network following NSWC PCD-approved SOPs and industry standards.
- Receive work assignments and report in-progress and completed work via a web-based government application.
- Support DRMO of obsolete or excess equipment, including declassifying equipment, hard drive destruction, and completing administrative documentation.
- Work closely with the network operations team to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior administrators.
- Assist in coordinating equipment movement and disposal as directed by Network Operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuring and managing VMware products, Windows Server, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Must possess one of the following certifications: CASP+ CE, CCNP, CISSP, CISA, GCED, or GCIH.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified Expert, VMware Certified Professional, and Red Hat Certified Engineer.
- Extensive knowledge and implementation of DoD IT security requirements, including STIGs and RMF.
- Prior experience working with DoD networks, with a preference for Navy RMF and NAVSEA networks.
- Advanced troubleshooting, system optimization, and network security expertise.
- Strong experience in workstation and server administration.
