AERMOR is hiring a Test and Evaluation Analyst with Nuclear Powered Submarine (SSBN or SSN) Electronic Warfare and Imaging Systems experience to support the United States Navy with Operational Test and Evaluation of submarine systems. Duties will be performed primarily each business day on-site in Norfolk, VA.

AERMOR is hiring a Test and Evaluation Analyst with Nuclear Powered Submarine (SSBN or SSN) Electronic Warfare and Imaging Systems experience to support the United States Navy with Operational Test and Evaluation of submarine systems. Duties will be performed primarily each business day on-site in Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities Include:
- Being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Submarine Electronic Warfare and Submarine Imaging Systems, including maintenance, operation, and tactical employment.
- Reviewing program documentation to include Required Operational Capabilities and Projected Operating Environment (ROCPOE), Concept of Operations (CONOPS), training manuals, and system technical documentation.
- Planning and designing operationally realistic exercises to test submarine Electronic Warfare and Imaging systems; analyzing the resulting data to infer statistically defensible conclusions about operational effectiveness and suitability with respect to submarine missions.
- Drafting Operational Test Plans for various types of acquisition testing: Operational Testing, Developmental Testing Assists, Early Operational Assessments, Operational Assessments, Joint Concept Technology Demonstrations, Quick Reaction Assessments, Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E), Follow-on Test and Evaluation (FOT&E), etc.
- Helping Navy laboratories and other agencies to ensure that Modeling and Simulation (M&S) solutions provide a realistic operational model to support operational testing. Drafting Accreditation Plans for M&S use in operational testing.
- Compiling data necessary to draft Test Plans, performing data reduction, and preliminary data analysis to ensure data validity.
- Providing the following Operational Test Reports for various types of acquisition testing: Operational Test Agency Assessment Report and Operational Test Agency Milestone Assessment Report, Operational Evaluation Report, Letter of Observation, Operational Utility Assessment, Independent Operational Test and Evaluation Report.
- Drafting Naval Correspondence to transmit, update, or document the other products you are responsible for creating.
- Be the Contractual and Technical Point of Contact with Trip Reports, Technical Reports, Monthly Progress Reports, Annual Summary Reports, and progress of work on assigned tasks. Attend conferences and meetings. Create and execute work plans, including the expenditure of travel funds and allocation of labor hours each month.
Qualifying Requirements:
- Must be Top Secret Security Clearance + SCI access eligible.
- Minimum of four years of experience in operating, maintaining and/or overseeing submarine Electronic Warfare and/or Imaging Systems (i.e., AN/BLQ-10 and AN/BVY-1). Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate mastery of both Electronic Warfare and Imaging Systems.
- Ability to apply analytical methodologies to evaluate the operational effectiveness and suitability of combat support systems.
- Possess superior technical writing skills to draft unambiguous and concise Test Plans, Test Reports, and supporting documents.
- Be physically qualified for non-submarine personnel embarked on submarines to support test execution underway on U.S. submarines for up to 10 days at a time.
Certification/Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or science-related field is preferred but not required.
- Microsoft Office Specialist: Expert (Microsoft 365 Apps, Office 2016, Office 2019, Word, and/or Excel) or Microsoft Office Specialist: Associate (Microsoft 365 Apps, Office 2016, Office 2019, Word, and/or Excel) preferred, but not required.
- Statistical Thinking for Industrial Problem Solving (STIPS) or similar preferred but not required.
