AERMOR is seeking a Mechanical Engineer IV who will serve as a senior-level mechanical engineering professional responsible for the full lifecycle of mechanical hardware product development, from initial concept and design through rollout, testing, and sustainment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design, development, and production of mechanical systems and hardware products.
- Translate system requirements and specifications into comprehensive mechanical design concepts and technical documentation.
- Oversee all aspects of mechanical engineering processes, including modeling, prototyping, material selection, and fabrication.
- Perform detailed mechanical analysis, including stress, thermal, and structural performance evaluations.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer and contract objectives.
- Evaluate design feasibility, manufacturability, and maintainability throughout product lifecycle stages.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical, software, and systems components.
- Ensure all mechanical systems comply with applicable standards, codes, and safety requirements.
- Provide leadership and technical direction to junior engineers and technicians, promoting design best practices and innovation.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, design reviews, and technical briefings to senior management, customers, and stakeholders.
- Serve as Task Lead/Manager, coordinating project resources, status reporting, and cross-functional communication.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 10 years of professional experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 14 years of professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing the creation of mechanical hardware products from concept through rollout and lifecycle maintenance.
- Strong background in mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams or projects, including task management and resource coordination.
- Experience preparing and delivering technical briefings and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of cost analysis, schedule planning, and risk management in mechanical engineering projects.
