AERMOR is seeking a Network Administration Specialist II who will be responsible for assisting with network administration projects, supporting infrastructure installations, performing maintenance, and troubleshooting network-related issues. This role supports Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division’s (NSWC PCD) Network Operations by ensuring network security, compliance with DoD standards, and optimal connectivity. The specialist will also provide guidance to Junior Network Specialists and assist Senior Network Specialists with configuration management.

AERMOR is seeking a Network Administration Specialist II who will be responsible for assisting with network administration projects, supporting infrastructure installations, performing maintenance, and troubleshooting network-related issues. This role supports Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division’s (NSWC PCD) Network Operations by ensuring network security, compliance with DoD standards, and optimal connectivity. The specialist will also provide guidance to Junior Network Specialists and assist Senior Network Specialists with configuration management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with all network installs, changes, and maintenance of remodeled or newly constructed buildings.
- Configure network infrastructure changes to ensure compliance with current STIGs.
- Utilize administrative and remediation tools to implement network infrastructure changes.
- Maintain up-to-date iOS versions on all network infrastructure devices.
- Eliminate vulnerabilities on all network infrastructure devices.
- Ensure connectivity between network infrastructure devices and network management systems.
- Troubleshoot network outages, including individual port issues.
- Prepare and maintain network infrastructure documentation, including floor plans, face layouts, and logical diagrams.
- Write, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Create and maintain Navy RMF documentation and ensure compliance with DoD security standards.
- Configure switch changes to support lab moves and changes.
- Troubleshoot and maintain RDT&E systems in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Configure and support the Atlassian DevOps environment.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving network issues, resolving network tickets from users.
- Support the maintenance of network devices and configuration of network management tools.
- Support DRMO processes, including preparing obsolete or excess equipment for disposal (e.g., declassifying, hard drive destruction, documentation, and physical transport).
- Assist with network administration projects assigned by Network Operations.
- Provide guidance and support to Junior Network Specialists.
- Support Senior Network Specialists in configuration management, including documentation, SOPs, RMF artifacts, and literature.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have SEC+ certification or equivalent.
- Preferred certification: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in configuring and managing Cisco networking products, including management devices.
- Understanding and implementation of DoD IT security requirements, including STIGs and RMF.
- Prior experience working with DoD networks, with a preference for Navy RMF and NAVSEA networks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in networking and system administration.
- Experience in providing technical solutions and supporting configuration management.
