AERMOR is hiring for the position of RDT&E Technical Support Specialist who will provide comprehensive technical support for RDT&E laboratories across Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD). This role includes installing, upgrading, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software components within the NSWC PCD Network community. The specialist will also provide Tier 1 helpdesk support, assist with IT inventory management, and ensure network sustainability and security compliance.

This role includes installing, upgrading, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software components within the NSWC PCD Network community. The specialist will also provide Tier 1 helpdesk support, assist with IT inventory management, and ensure network sustainability and security compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, reconfigure, upgrade, and replace or remove hardware and software components.
- Support network-related Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux software on compatible hardware.
- Troubleshoot and install computers, connecting software or hardware to the network in accordance with NSWC PCD-approved SOPs.
- Support client configuration changes related to personnel moves, software upgrades, or network modifications.
- Provide RDT&E helpdesk support, including Tier 1 support for the RDT&E network.
- Assist in the operation of RDT&E drops and document, degauss, and destroy hard drives per approved processes.
- Assign and track work orders through NSWC PCD’s work order process.
- Update and monitor RDT&E network hardware inventory.
- Assist with Comprehensive Information Technology Inventory (CITI) and other NSWC PCD inventory systems.
- Create, submit, and update SOPs as needed.
- Run monthly RDT&E account maintenance and notifications.
- Provide account management support for network users.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have 3 years of experience and SEC+ certification or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Windows Server, Linux, Mac, and Apple iOS.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Familiarity with Alloy Navigator and ServiceNow for IT service management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware, software, and network environments.
- Ability to manage IT inventory and document IT processes in compliance with NSWC PCD policies.
