AERMOR is seeking an Engineer, Computer IV who will provide advanced technical expertise in computer design, software development, and computer networks. This role focuses on Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) of software to ensure systems and applications meet both technical standards and user requirements. The Engineer will lead efforts in requirements analysis, test planning, source code review, and quality assurance while supporting engineering and in-service engineering activities.

AERMOR is seeking an Engineer, Computer IV who will provide advanced technical expertise in computer design, software development, and computer networks. This role focuses on Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) of software to ensure systems and applications meet both technical standards and user requirements. The Engineer will lead efforts in requirements analysis, test planning, source code review, and quality assurance while supporting engineering and in-service engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support software test plans.
- Conduct requirements traceability to verify requirements are correct, complete, unambiguous, and testable.
- Perform validation testing to ensure systems meet verified requirements.
- Produce IV&V reports, defect reports, and test result analysis reports.
- Support Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) development.
- Contribute to the development and review of software design documents.
- Analyze software source code to identify defects, ensure adherence to coding standards, and verify proper implementation.
- Generate static analysis and coding standards compliance reports.
- Participate in and support code reviews.
- Review and assess test cases and test procedures for coverage and effectiveness.
- Support configuration management processes to ensure proper version control and documentation tracking.
- Identify, evaluate, and propose mitigation strategies for software development and deployment risks.
- Verify adherence to established software development standards and best practices.
- Review software documentation (design docs, user manuals, etc.) for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide support for internal and external verification and validation test events.
Required Experience:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 14 years of relevant experience.
- Proven background in computer design, software development, or computer networks.
- Demonstrated experience with Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) practices.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality assurance, and configuration management.
- Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM) or Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) certification is required.
